At the tender age of 9 years old, James was accepted into an 8 year music scholarship at a prestigious Sydney College and was trained as a classical musician until the age of 17.
James quickly learned to play 15 instruments including the violin, euphonium and trumpet and taught himself to play guitar and piano (literally) overnight. It was then clear that there was some serious musical talent here
Once out and about in the world, he discovered there was more to music than just copying the great musicians of our past, and after having lost his musical style (innocently, of course) and buying a cheap setup online, James taught himself another instrument - the dance floor. After finding his own way to DJ boxes through the Central Coast of NSW and earning some well needed experience, the time came to launch himself into the bigger picture
Now, after holding residencies at some of Sydney's most popular dance music destinations including Stonewall, Slide, The Beresford Hotel, The Burdekin, Boutique, The Oxford Hotel, The Midnight Shift and The Bank Hotel, as well as playing guest sets throughout Melbourne and Sydney at some of the nation's biggest parties including HOMESEXUAL and FIERCE ANGEL, James has quickly earned a reputation as one of Sydney's most loved, most versatile and most sought after DJ's
With a seamless ability to fuse between funky, progressive, tech house, deep house, vocal house, tribal or circuit, and using all the musicality he learned during his childhood, James keeps any crowd moving to the beat in anticipation of what will happen next.
