Gusto is proud to announce one of the most successful girl groups of all time - SISTER SLEDGE ft. Kathy Sledge will tour Australia, playing The Hi Fi in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane across the Queen’s Birthday Weekend on Thursday, June 7, Friday June 8 and Saturday June 9, respectively.

With the recent triumphant tour of former label mates, Chic proving that disco is alive and well, Sister Sledge ft. Kathy Sledge will transform The Hi Fi into the best disco in town for one night only in each of the three cities.

Bust out those platforms and your best lurex and get ready to get down to a slew of Number One hits, including “We Are Family” “Lost In Music” & “His The Greatest Dancer” - the enduring global anthem that earned Sister Sledge their place as inductees into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, penned and produced by hit makers Nile Rodgers and the late, great Bernard Edwards.

In addition to the massive success of Sister Sledge, Kathy Sledge has enjoyed a prolific solo career of Number 1 hits, including “Take Me Back To Love Again” and a cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Another Star”.

Nile Rodgers said, “Kathy has one of the most original and unique voices in pop music. Always has and always will!” Over the decades, Sister Sledge have earned rave reviews throughout the world, and continue to do so today.

"Sister Sledge has the stuff legends are made of," stated one critic from the Chicago Tribune.

Thats right gays and girls, our favourite time of year - Mardi Gras season is already around the corner, so to celebrate the launch of MG 2012 Gusto have decided to set up caaaamp! at the iconic Sydney pub, the Lansdowne.

Situated on the corner of Broadway and City road, right across from the main entrance to Fair Day, the Lansdowne has recently undergone a dramatic facelift. This well known hub for live music has been given a fresh vibe, and is now the perfect place for a few cheeky beers after an amazing day celebrating the launch of Gay Christmas!

Keeping the Mardi Gras spirit alive, Gusto have taken an assortment of Oxford Street’s favourite DJs, and brought them over to Broadway to help you disco, disco, disco until well past sundown.

Alex Taylor | Chip | Jimmy Dee | Brett Austin | Shauna Jensen (Live PA)

Of course, the Lansdowne wouldn't quite be the same without a live performance, so we are bringing back one of Sydney's favourite local Diva's SHAUNA JENSEN to get your arms over your head, and high heels in the air. Recently appearing at Arq and our very own Mad Hatters parties, Shauna is already excited about rocking out the Fair Day After Party at the Lansdowne, bringing you some great vocals guaranteed to get you shimmying while you sip on your champagne and grenadine.

Rarely do two such iconic acts who where so fundamental in shaping electronica music come together for two truly amazing Live sets Gusto international proudly present an amazing smorgasbord of sound and visuals to tantalize your every sense. The Orb and Bomb The Bass.

The Orb ever since their early hits two decades ago with “Little Fluffy Clouds” and “Blue room” The Orb have been described incessantly as the rave generations Pink Floyd so it was perhaps inevitable that these two institutions would eventually combine with Roger Gilmour amazing Guitar collaboration on the Orb’s 2010 album “Metallic Sphere” with a new album shortly to be released don’t miss out on this only live Sydney show with amazing visuals to compliment their unique style. If that wasn’t enough we have another visual and ear gasmic delight, with Bomb The Bass.

The dusky atmosphere of BNB’s 2008 album Future Chaos has given way to a more radiant sound, buoyed by waves of synthesizers and propelled by clean-lined grooves. Raising the tempo, Simenon takes inspiration from classic techno, while vocal contributions from Richard Davis, Kelley Polar, The Battle of Land and Sea, and Paul Conboy bring Bomb the Bass into newfound melodic focus. It’s a brighter, more immediate sound than before; warmer, too, with the singers’ voices positively glowing inside intricately woven electronic nests. But there’s no lack of nuance. Every track is a delicate balance of intimate delivery and cosmic sonics, underscored by a faint sense of melancholy.

If you love electronic music then you have definitely danced to his efforts at one point or another.

Auréi, D’Menace, Awesome Foursome, The Committee, Kings Of Tomorrow, Mysterious People, Organized Noize, Sanjay, Sanjose, Soul Vision. These are just some of the DJ/production guises that Sandy Rivera has used in recent years. Despite his impressive credentials Sandy’s character remains largely enigmatic; this is down to his penchant for monikers perhaps. Dig a little deeper into Sandy’s past and it appears he is responsible for some of the finest dance floor tracks of our time. And now? Well now it’s time for the real Sandy Rivera to please stand up.

With plenty of heavily charting releases spanning the last few years (‘Finally’, ‘Changes’, ‘Freak’), Sandy has been enjoying a seemingly non-stop string of success with the likes of ‘Hide You’, ‘Take Me Back’, ‘Persuasion’, ‘Dirty Sax’, new mixes of ‘Finally’ and of course his long awaited artist album The Blackwiz Farm, released on Sandy’s own imprint Blackwiz.

2011 also saw the releases of ‘Love’ featuring Yasmeen on Strictly Rhythm and ‘Put Your Hands Up’ featuring Virus J on Azuli Records, both receiving huge support from artists and fans alike.

Gig-wise Rivera’s 2011 schedule was unstoppable playing at Air in Tokyo, Turnovo festival to 15 000 people, Yalta in Bulgaria (voted one of the best clubs in the world), Club Prive in Estonia, Greenvalley in Brazil to almost 10 000, and Italy’s Moxa – just a mere few to add alongside his dates for this year and beyond.

With plenty of more productions down the pipeline, be sure to stay tuned for this remarkable and relentless musical mastermind.
