French chef MANU (Emmanuel Prudhomme) learnt his trade in Paris France by arguably the most famous French chef 3 michelin star “Joel Robuchon” . Joel was titled "Chef of the Century" by the guide Gault Millau in 1989[1] and also awarded the Meilleur Ouvrier de France (France's Best Craftsman) in cuisine in 1976. After learning his trade by one of the world’s truly great culinary masters. Manu left Europe and moved to Sydney in 2001 to work for Sydney cuisine maestro “Serge Dansereau at the Bathers Pavillion on Balmoral Beach from 2001 – 2004.
Following that Manu owned his own restaurant J’Adore in Darlighurst before diversifying into event catering cooking for some of the worlds most famous entertainers to name a few Sting, Elton John, Pink, Inxs are just some who have been tantalized by his culinary delights. One of his latest ventures is “ Desperate House Knives” cooking classes with a difference from the norm. Manu says “It’s not just about the learning of cooking something exquisite our cooking class is the whole experience after we learn we all sit and enjoy in the way it’s meant to be enjoying simply with good food, good wine with good company.
Manu is able to organize your banqueting delights adding his very own unique tastes and styles whether it’s a black tie 5 course dinner for high level budgets. Canapés specially crafted that are truly highly original and very unique to impress and amaze your event / function cliental, or for that special wedding functions to suit your budget whether big or small. Food cooked with passion and clients have been left amazed by the quality and value for money over other event caterers.
Manu’s Philosophy is simple “ My pet hate being a Chef is experiencing over priced food not cooked to quality with love and perfection. If your charging $40 a head for Canapés pre packed frozen meat pies is simply not good enough. I became a chef because I love to dream up new experiences serving mundane food has never been in my phrase book. I hate seeing the Y generation growing up on takeaways. Food is all about experiencing and enjoyment whether with friends, family or that special romantic time.
